Honor Magic Vs Officially Announced, Coming on November 23

In the past few days, it was rumored that Honor is looking forward to releasing a new foldable flagship phone before the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. However, it seems that the rumors were true as the company has officially confirmed the launch of its new foldable phone in the coming days.

This morning, Honor Officials (on Weibo) announced that the all-new Honor Magic Vs would be launched on November 23 at 2:30 PM (as per Chinese Timing). The new Honor Magic Vs will be an upgraded version of Honor Magic V and might not feature a significant design change but an internal upgrade.

From the teaser of Honor Magic Vs, it can be judged that it still comes with an inward folding design and is equipped with a golden frame which increases its beauty and gives it the look of a true foldable flagship. The leaked device renders also revealed the same design as the standard Honor Magic V.

In terms of internals, the new Magic Vs will feature the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 flagship chipset from Qualcomm. It is worth mentioning that the standard Honor Magic V features the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 has lower power consumption in addition to better performance.

The rumors also suggest that the battery capacity of Honor’s upcoming foldable phone will be upgraded to 5000mAh (4750mAh in Honor Magic V) with the same 66W charging capacity. It is also revealed that the device’s weight is reduced to 261g which denotes that the Honor Magic Vs will be a lightweight foldable phone compared to its standard version.

As per sources, Honor will also reveal the MagicOS 7.0 UI in another conference, held a day before the launch of Honor Magic V. Further, the all-new Honor 80 series is also rumored to be the part of this event but still, this is very unlikely to happen.
