Yesterday, Honor officials revealed that the number of users of the Honor X series had exceeded 100 million globally. Also, the nine anniversary of this lineup is coming, and on this occasion, the officials are planning to launch a new successor for its Honor X series.
This morning, Honor officially announced (on Weibo) that the all-new Honor X40 series will be launched on September 15. In the official announcement, the appearance of the device isn’t revealed. Further, there are no more details except the launch date.
However, through some sources, the basic specifications info of the Honor X40 lineup are known. Like before, this lineup consists of two devices: Standard Honor X40 and Honor X40 Max.
The standard Honor X40 is expected to feature an OLED (Curved) Display for the first in the entire lineup. Sources claimed that the OLED specifications would resemble Honor 60’s OLED display. It is worth mentioning that the Honor 60 OLED Display is a Punch-hole screen with 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming support.
The (second model) Honor X40 Max version will stick to an LCD Display. Regarding this model, it was previously revealed that the Honor X40 Max would support 40W Wired fast charging and also got a dual-camera setup on the backside.
It is expected (as per past practices of manufacturers) that in the coming days, the official will reveal major highlights regarding the upcoming series.
