Honor X40 GT will Feature a 6.81″ 144Hz Display with 480Hz Touch Sampling Rate

A few days before, it was officially revealed that Honor would extend its X40 lineup by launching another model named “Honor X40 GT.” Even the company started to reveal all the major highlights of the device before the official launch event. And again, this morning, the company shared another highlight.

Today, the Honor Mobile (on Weibo) has revealed that the all-new X40 GT will feature a 6.81 inches 144Hz refresh rate display in addition to 480Hz Touch Sampling Rate support, which can provide 16 times better touch accuracy. The display would be a single punch-hole LCD Display with extremely narrow bezels (as shown in the images).

Yesterday, the company also revealed that this model would feature a 13-layer 3D Cooling System in addition to an arterial VC cooling pump. The entire heat dissipation system can easily handle the heat burden, and the user doesn’t need to worry about the high temperature of the device during high-end gaming.

The officials previously also posted that the new Honor X40 GT will be powered by the Snapdragon 888, which is a generation-old flagship. Nowadays, Qualcomm is using this chipset as a sub-flagship and a competitor for Dimensity 8000.

In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 888 is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and has the following cores: 1x Cortex-X1 Super Core (clocked @2.84GHz), 3x Cortex-A78 Performance Cores (clocked @2.42GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 Energy-Efficient Cores (clocked @1.8GHz).

The renders of the Honor X40 GT are already live, revealing that the backside has a black and green lining design and a circle-shaped camera module consisting of three camera lenses. It is worth mentioning that this device was also listed on 3C Certification with an Honor 60W SuperFast charger.

For more information, we have to wait until the official launch event, occuring on October 13 (tomorrow).
