Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen4, T14s Gen4, and T16 Gen2 Got Launched with Intel’s 13th Gen Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 Series

Lenovo continued to reveal their new laptop models in the MWC 2023. The company has recently refreshed many of its lineups to introduce new models, including the ThinkPad 14 and 16 series.

Recently, the company has introduced its new models: ThinkPad T14 Gen4, ThinkPad T14s Gen4, and ThinkPad T16 Gen2, which have undergone 20 generations of evolution (as said by the officials) and now upgraded to Intel’s 13th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

The new T-Series models now come in better display options. The T14 models come with a 14-inch display and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Different resolution options are there, starting from a WUXGA IPS Panel (with 300nits brightness), while the best you can get is a 2.8K resolution OLED Panel (with 400nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut) in this display size. The option for a touch screen is also there.

The T16 model has a bigger 16-inch display with the same aspect ratio and resolution options. However, this model has 500nit brightness in its top display resolution model. Further, this model also supports a touch screen (depending on the buyer’s decision).

The company hasn’t revealed which CPU model has been used regarding the CPUs. However, it is revealed that the T14s model would come with Intel Iris Xe and AMD Radeon Graphics option while the other two models (T14 and T16) would also be available in NVIDIA MX550 4GB GDDR6 GPU option.

All three models will support a maximum of 32 Gigs of LPDDR5x RAM (upgraded from LPDDR5), while the max supported storage would be 2TB (SSD: PCIe 4.0).

When it comes to battery, Lenovo has efficiently managed to pack 57WHr (in T14s), 39.3WHr (in T14), and 86WHr (in T16) batteries into its all-new T-series, which can achieve up to 8 hours of battery life. In T14 and T16, other battery options are also available.

Some basic highlights include the support for WiFi 6E, having 5MP IR Webcam in addition to Dolby voice and Dolby audio support is also there. The T14s model also supports 5G eSIM connectivity.

Regarding expansibility, the T-series models feature 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB4 port on AMD CPUs powered model), 2x USB Type-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, 1x HDMI 2.0b port, 1x audio jack and an RJ45 LAN Port (not included in T14s).

Regarding the pricing, all three models would go on sale in April 2023 with the following color options: Thunder Black (only in T14 and T16), Storm Gray, and Deep Black (only in T14s). The starting price of Lenovo’s all-new ThinkPad T14s is $1,479, while the ThinkPad T14’s base price is $1,239, and ThinkPad T16’s price is $1,269.
