Today, Lenovo officially released the brand new ThinkPad X13 Gen 2. This notebook has AMD and Intel processors and uses a 16:10 screen.
ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 can choose Intel’s 11th generation Core vPro Tiger Lake and AMD Ryzen 5000 mobile processors. It is equipped with a 16:10 screen, and Lenovo also offers several 13.3-inch displays with WUXGA and WQXGA resolutions.
The Intel version of X13 Gen 2 is Evo certified and comes with Wi-Fi 6e connectivity. Intel and AMD versions also provide optional 5G sub-6 GHz or 2×2 MIMO CAT 12 4G cellular support. As an Evo-certified platform, the Intel version of ThinkPad X13 also has two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Lenovo has also introduced some changes in security. Lenovo chose a matching chip fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. The touchpad of the ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 is now 115 mm wide.
Buyers can also configure Lenovo ThinkShield security kit for ThinkPad X13 Gen 2, which includes a camera shutter, body recognition, and an optional PrivacyGuard screen (with 500 nit panel).
From May 2021, Lenovo will provide the new ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 in black and gray. The Intel version starts at $1,299, and the AMD Ryzen 5000 version starts at $1139.
