OPPO continues to release different models in its A-series to dominate the market. Recently, it was revealed that the all-new OPPO A58 5G would go official on November 11. However, another A-series model has been revealed, which is also expected to be released in the coming days.
This morning, a new device with the model number “PHQ110” was listed on TENAA Certification. As per sources, the device would be named “OPPO A98 5G.” The listing doesn’t consist of the device’s specifications. However, the renders of the device are mentioned below.
In the renders, different aspects of the device can be observed. Starting from the display, the OPPO A98 5G features a single-centered punch-hole display with curved edges. It would probably be an AMOLED Display as the device hasn’t got any side fingerprint scanner, and the in-display fingerprint is expected to be integrated. It is worth noting that LCD Displays don’t support in-display fingerprint sensors.
On the backside, we have a gradient color design with curved edges. The camera module is a large pill-shaped module; under it, the diamond design can also be seen, which mentions that the primary lens is a 108MP lens.
The total numbers of camera modules are very hard to observe. However, the rumors state that there are two lenses. The first circle consists of the primary lens, while the second one has the second lens in addition to LED Flash.
As per sources, it was also revealed that the all-new OPPO A98 5G would feature a Snapdragon 778G chipset, a generation-old premium mid-range SoC from Qualcomm. The chipset is based on a 6nm manufacturing process and features 4x Cortex-A78 cores (@2.4GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 cores (@1.8GHz).
In addition, the device might also feature some highlights (revealed through rumors): 120Hz display with PWM dimming support, 5000mAh large-sized battery cell, and 67W fast charging support.
At the moment, there is no official confirmation regarding the launch of OPPO A98 5G. However, it is expected to launch between November and December.
