Until now, OPPO has launched only two tablets in the market. The first one was OPPO Pad with Snapdragon 870 while the second one is OPPO Pad Air which was a mid-range and more affordable tablet. However, the latest reports are stating that OPPO is working on the next generation of its tablet.
This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation reported that OPPO has started working on its next-generation tablet device which might be named OPPO Pad 2 or OPPO Pad 2nd Generation. Further, the new OPPO Pad will be a huge upgrade over its predecessor in terms of chipset and display.
As per the blogger, the next-generation OPPO Pad will be powered by Dimensity 9000 which is a generation-old chipset but still have stronger performance and also denotes that the tablet lies in the flagship segment.
In terms of configurations, the Dimensity 9000 chipset is based on a 4nm TSMC manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X2 Super Core (@3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A710 Performance Cores (2.85GHz) and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-Efficient Cores. The chipset can easily handle high-level multitasking.
Next, the blogger also mentioned regarding the display that it would be a new and better quality display with a higher resolution of around 2800*2000p while the screen ratio is also customized very thoughtfully. We can expect a unique and perfectly designed display in OPPO’s next-generation tablet.
As mentioned before, the previous generation OPPO Pad was powered by Snapdragon 870 which lies in the sub-flagship category but can perform well. It was launched in the first quarter of 2022 that’s why we can expect that the next-generation tablet will also be released in the first quarter of next year.
