Redmi K60 Series Major Specs Revealed: Snapdragon 8 Gen2, 120W Charging, and Many More

In March 2022, Redmi revealed its K50 series. The latest addition in this lineup is the Redmi K50 Ultra/Extreme edition, released one month before. The newest information from sources states that Redmi will put its K50 lineup to an end as they are now working on the successor series.

This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation revealed major specifications regarding the upcoming Redmi K60 series. As said by the blogger, the high-end variant in the Redmi K60 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset, which is unannounced yet, expected to release in November 2022. This variant will also support a higher 120W fast charging.

Then, we have another variant that comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset and eliminates the use of a higher 120W charge; instead, this model will most probably feature the 67W charging. Moreover, this model will be equipped with a 5500mAh battery, which can also be a reason why this model isn’t supporting 120W charging; the larger battery might cause insufficient internal space.

Some netizens (in the comment section) also asked the blogger about the launch of Xiaomi’s 200W fast-charging equipped phone. The blogger replied, “Don’t worry,” denoting that Xiaomi is very near to launching this model.

As per previous news, the new Redmi K60 lineup will consist of two models: Redmi K60 and K60 Pro; both models will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. In terms of display, the Redmi K60 series will feature displays with 2K Flexible AMOLED Flat screens, which also support PWM dimming.

It is expected that Redmi will launch its Redmi K60 soon after the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset.
