It was previously reported that Vivo would officially announce an upgraded model of the standard Vivo X Fold in the near future, which will be named Vivo X Fold+. And finally, today, Vivo has officially confirmed the existence of its all-new Foldable phone, which now comes with better hardware.
This morning, the VP of the Vivo brand (@Jia Jingdong) on Weibo has officially revealed the new Vivo X Fold+. In the official post, the VP has shown a teaser image of Vivo X Fold+ in which its appearance in China Red color with leather texture can be observed.
Not only that, but the VP also mentioned some main highlights of the upcoming foldable device as well. As per VP, the new Vivo X Fold+ will now support display working in different opening angles like 30 degrees and 90-degree for various tasks. For example, you can open the screen at 90 degrees and then use it for broadcasting the lives and also use it for browsing at 30 degrees.
While talking about the internal specifications, the VP also mentioned that the new Vivo X Fold+ now comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, features a slightly larger 4370mAh battery (130mAh higher than the standard Vivo X Fold) and supports wired charging at 80W and wireless charging at 50W.
In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 has a higher 3.2GHz frequency on Cortex-X2 Super Core and is based on a 4nm TSMC process which consumes less power; the other specifications are the same as in standard Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
Previously, it was also revealed that the Vivo X Fold+ features an inner and outer 2K LTPO Display with 120Hz refresh rate support. Both displays are integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. In terms of camera, the Vivo X Fold features four rear lenses, including a 50MP Outsole Main lens, 50MP Ultra-wide lens, 12MP depth lens, and 8MP periscope lens.
Currently, the official launch date of Vivo X Fold+ is unknown.
